Add this to your google reader (or other RSS reader)

Here I'll post a new "post" with a title and a link to the private blog post every time I post there.

That way only friends and family can read the full post with pictures and such but there will be a public way to know when new content is posted. Hopefully this makes my switch the private blog for those of you who use google reader.
